1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of products by Coda Effects, located at 43 Rue du Sergent Bobillot, 37000 TOURS, France. By placing an order on our website, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Products and Orders

  • Description: We offer guitar effects pedals, DIY kits, and PCBs. We make every effort to ensure that the descriptions and photos of the products are as accurate as possible.
  • Availability: Orders are subject to stock availability.
  • Acceptance: Your order is confirmed once payment is processed. We reserve the right to cancel any order for legitimate reasons (e.g., pricing errors or stock discrepancy).

3. Pricing and Payment

  • Currency: All prices are displayed in Euros (€).
  • Taxes (EU): For customers within the European Union, prices are inclusive of VAT (if applicable). Note: VAT not applicable, art. 293 B of the French General Tax Code.
  • Customs & Duties (Non-EU): For international orders outside the EU (USA, UK, Canada, etc.), you are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs clearance fees required by your country.
  • Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards (via Stripe) and PayPal.

4. Shipping and Delivery

  • Processing: Orders are typically shipped within 2-3 business days.
  • Carrier: We ship worldwide using La Poste / Delivengo. A tracking number will be provided once the order is shipped.
  • Delivery Times: International shipping usually takes 5 to 15 business days but can vary due to customs or local postal services.
  • Liability: Coda Effects is not responsible for delays caused by the carrier or customs services.

5. DIY Kits and PCBs

  • Success Guarantee: While we provide high-quality components and detailed instructions, Coda Effects cannot guarantee the success of your build.
  • Liability: We are not responsible for any damage caused by improper soldering, overheating of components, polarity reversal, or the use of an incorrect power supply.
  • Support: Technical support is available via email, but we cannot “remote fix” a non-working circuit built by the customer.

6. Refund and Returns Policy

  • Right of Withdrawal: In accordance with EU law, you have 14 days from the date of delivery to change your mind and return an item.
  • Condition of Returns: To be eligible for a refund, items must be returned in their original, unopened, and unused condition.
  • DIY Kits Exclusion: Any DIY kit or PCB that has been partially or fully soldered, assembled, or modified by the customer cannot be returned or refunded. We cannot accept returns for components that have been used.
  • Return Process: To initiate a return, please contact us at benoit@coda-effects.com.
  • Shipping Costs: Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, except in cases where the item was defective upon arrival. We recommend using a tracked shipping service, as we cannot guarantee receipt of your returned item.
  • Refunds: Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you and process the refund to your original payment method within 7-10 business days.

7. Warranty

  • Assembled Pedals: Our pedals are covered by a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects. This does not cover wear and tear or damage from misuse.
  • PCBs/Kits: Warranty is limited to the replacement of defective components before assembly.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by French Law. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Tours, France.
